The close coupled toilet is still the most popular type in the Czech Republic, but with the construction of new apartments and houses, you are more likely to see a wall hung toilet (also known as a wall mounted or floating toilet), which looks much more elegant.

A close coupled toilet is the ideal solution where the bathroom is already finished. It is an economical solution to fitting a toilet as it has a cistern already built in, including a flush plate, so you don't need anything else. Installation is very simple and there is no need for structural intervention in the wall. The only thing you need to pay attention to is the waste and water supply type. The installation frame must be built into the wall during the rough-in construction stage.
